Using the same artfully flavored bean as our Base Camp, we subjected the bean to a harder, hotter fire to bring out the deeper cocoa flavors hidden in the bean. With a successful perception check, the drinker can detect smoky, savory flavors with a sharp jolt of acidity and a smooth mouthfeel. In the back, you can gather notes of the coffee cherry, smoky cedar, and pulpy flavors that define the business so well. We’re not saying that this is our favorite roast, but it’s probably our favorite roast.
