Maragogype (or Maragogipe) is a natural mutation of the typica variety with an exceptionally large seed size that earned it the moniker of "elephant coffee bean". As a low yielding variety it is not often grown at scale so it is usually only found from smaller farms or nanolot producers. The more common pacamara derives its lineage from a cross of maragogype and pacas, with the former contributing to the larger seed size of the pacamara. This coffee was sealed in a tank and fermented in cherry for 12 days with 3 different types of yeast. It was then pulped and dried in its mucilage for 18 days.
